Firemain and Deckwash System

Firemain system is a system whereby the water is supplied through the ship for the purpose of firefighting. Generally the water will be supplied to the sprinkler and fire hydrant. The water supplied to the internal firefighting system is also used for crew to clean the deck, hence the deckwash system.

The water of the system comes from the sea chest. The water then will be pumped through the vessel to the respective room sprinkler and hydrants.
